What do you do at HOMAG and how long have you been on board?

I worked for HOMAG for 26 years. Now I am responsible for our construction industry customers in the UK. Timber frame, and other industries connected with offsite manufacture of housing and modular buildings.

How was your path to this position shaped?

A little by accident rather than planned! I started working as a CNC machine demonstrator. Then I was promoted to area sales manager and now to industrial sales manager. I was delighted to be offered this position after the sales areas and responsibilities at HOMAG UK were reorganized.

What do you particularly appreciate about your tasks?

What I enjoy about my new tasks is meeting a totally different set of customers within this sector and a different set of products. When the sales process is complete, the customer machine has been installed and the whole project come to successful fruition - that's what makes working at HOMAG so special to me.

But of course there are also challenges involved. For me, this is a completely different area compared to previous experience in the furniture industry. But for me it is very interesting getting to grips with the products and processes.

How would you describe HOMAG to a good friend?

Good company to work for – they must be as I’ve done 26 years!
