The most enjoyable part of my job is having the opportunity to impact change.

Give us an insight into your role at Stiles –what are your responsibilities?

As Product Manager at Stiles, I do whatever it takes to help Stiles Machinery succeed.  With responsibility for Sanding machines, veneering equipment and Classical machines, I have a very wide range of product responsibility as well as a wide variety of tasks.  From understanding market demands and pricing, to ordering inventory, assisting in the sales process, to hosting a demo, to helping support customers after the sale, my job is never the same daily.  There is always a new challenge.

What do you enjoy most about your position at Stiles?

The most enjoyable part of my job is having the opportunity to impact change.  Change comes in many different forms in the variety of my daily work, and it is always rewarding in its many forms.  From helping customers understand technology, change processes, save money and be successful.  To understanding and defining market needs, creating resources and strategies and ultimately watching products flourish.

Tell us about your journey leading to and at Stiles – what qualifies you for your position? Did you serve in other positions internally before your current one?

My Journey at Stiles continues to be a story of hard work and growth. At Stiles, qualifications are earned, and I am a testament to that.  Starting out in the E-tech division handling upgrades, ancillary equipment was an excellent training ground to learn the industry and the variety of equipment offered.  Hard work and desire led me into a Product Specialist role in 2012.  After hard work and success, I accepted a new challenge in 2016 of becoming Product Manager for Sanding as well as Classical machinery.  Its always fun learning new things and growing in knowledge and experience.

What is your favorite part about being on the Stiles team?

Stiles is really a family, and this is best part.  Everyone is pitching in continually striving to be better.  Better for our customers, better for the company, and ultimately better for each other.  Its is great feeling like you are working with people that care.

What is one of your favorite memories at Stiles?

One of my favorite memories at Stiles is the first IWF trade show that I participated in.  It was great to see the whole team working together to pull off something extra-ordinary, and being part of the team was memorable.  It was at this time that I understood the power of the Stiles team, and how much better we are when working together.

What is the most rewarding part about your role at Stiles?

The most rewarding part of my role at Stiles is seeing the positive impact that working has on those around me.

What sets Stiles apart from others in our industry?

What I believe sets Stiles apart from others in our industry is our people.  Of course there are good people that work hard everywhere, but people at Stiles care.  It takes care to go the extra mile, and it starts by caring for our customers success – doing things because they matter, and understanding the impact they have on our customers.

What is it like to be a part of the HOMAG family?

It is great to be a part of the Homag family and feel like we are all working towards the same goal despite our proximity.
