WEINMANN makes a donation to the "Hilfe für kranke Kinder" charitable foundation run by Uni-Kinderklinik Tübingen

This year's WEINMANN Treff took place in the impressive surroundings of the newly constructed production hall at the St. Johann site and, in addition to the latest machine technology and a wide range of services, also offered visitors the opportunity to contribute to a good cause. WEINMANN was therefore able to demonstrate its commitment to both acting as a holistic partner for its customers and supporting local causes.

Sawhorses for a good cause

HOMAG Cares about social responsibility. As part of the HOMAG Group, this is also an important mission for WEINMANN. That's why the company chose to use WEINMANN Treff 2023 to support a local charitable cause. To this end, visitors were able to buy pairs of sawhorses made by employees in the run up to and during the in-house trade fair using the company's own machines. By selling the sawhorses, WEINMANN was able to donate 1800 euro to the "Hilfe für kranke Kinder" charitable foundation at the pediatric department of the Tübingen University Hospital.

The "Hilfe für kranke Kinder" charitable foundation

For 25 years, "Hilfe für kranke Kinder" has been committed to providing the best possible treatment and support for seriously ill children and their families while under the care of the pediatric department at the Tübingen University Hospital. To this end, the foundation has introduced a number of measures and projects to provide long-term and targeted support to affected families. In addition to the illness itself, the financial strain, the need for advice and the management of the illness also present challenges for families. That's why the "Hilfe für kranke Kinder" foundation not only offers treatment, but also provides advice and aftercare, purchases medical devices and much more. A wide variety of projects, such as a specialized stretcher for children, help ensure that the clinic and its staff have the best possible treatment options available to them so that they can save more lives.

Management team and works council hand over the donation on site

At the beginning of February, WEINMANN Managing Director Josef Zerle and Chair of the Works Council Inge Buck personally handed over the donation in Tübingen.
The company's contact partner in the administrative and donations department, Philipp Närig, was grateful for the generous donation and stressed that: "Such support, both from private individuals and from companies, is incredibly important to us. Much of the support needed by children and their families used to be covered by medical insurance, but nowadays is only accessible through donations like these. We are very grateful for this support, because without it our work here would not be possible."
The whole of WEINMANN is happy to support this community cause. Managing Director Josef Zerle emphasized: "As an employer connected to many young families, the charitable foundation at the pediatric department of the Tübingen University Hospital is very important to us. The foundation's dedication is inspiring and we hope that our contribution will help families experiencing difficult times."
The company would like to thank all visitors for their generous donations.
