Finishing technology for surface coating
With its finishing technology, HOMAG is now offering a new product range for the coating of furniture, interior fittings and stair components. At LIGNA HOMAG presented solutions for spraying in combination with automated workpiece handling as well as concepts for dealing with small batch sizes. For its new product range HOMAG trusts in the partnership with Makor, a globally recognized brand. In close cooperation with one of the largest specialists in the industry, HOMAG now offers the new GSF 100 series of spray machines. This machine can be used as both a stand-alone spray machine or as part of an extensive finishing line. The GSF 100 series is among the most compact automatic spraying machines in its class – and is used for automated finishing of furniture parts, doors, stair components and interior fittings. The machines are ideally suited to small and medium-sized companies looking for a reliable solution for automated spray coating equipment. Only a small installation area is required and therefore the installation can be carried out even in limited space.
The GSF 100 SH stands out particularly: its outstanding feature is the innovative linking of a spray machine with automated workpiece handling. HOMAG offers different loading and unloading concepts for various requirements and production volumes.

Expansion of the product range
The demand for PUR laminating in the market is increasing – reason enough for HOMAG to expand the product range of laminating machines of the FKF 200 & 300 series. The focus is on individual solutions for coating furniture parts – including innovative technical functions and tailor-made automation.

• FKF 200 series: Thanks to the new, modular machine concept, the laminating line can be precisely tailored to individual customer requirements, such as high-gloss, supermatt, or tactile structured surfaces. For example, three different working widths, several laminate lay-up stations and various pressing calenders are available to find the optimum solution for the respective application or material combinations to be processed. In addition, the glue application machine can be equipped with optional WLAN monitoring.
• FKF 300 series: With this series HOMAG fulfils the requirements for laminating wood-based panels in the upper high-performance sector using the well-known completeLine process with reacTec adhesive. Further hotmelt adhesives (for example PO- or EV-based) are applied with the FKF 300 by means of slot-nozzle application onto films and papers.

Operation similar to using a smartphone
Since last year, our customers are able to operate all sanding machines beginning with the SWT 300 series convincingly comfortably. Starting at LIGNA, the previous optional user interface SandingCenter is integrated into the standard of the machines. HOMAG has developed the SandingCenter interface especially for the SWT 300 series and higher machine series and embedded it into the powerTouch control. Like in an app on a smartphone or tablet, the user operates the machine by wiping across the screen or using drag & drop. Programs can simply be marked by a touch of a finger and be dragged and activated in a drop-down window. Likewise the operator can "wipe" through the machine aggregates. Each parameter is visualized and helps even beginners to get along easily. The ease of operation of the machine ensures the operator a short training period and allows him to feel comfortable quickly.
